This week I started to have a gremlin in the system. 1996 GMC Suburban. 2-3 times I'd get in the car and it would not start. I'd wait a second and then turn the key and it would start. 2-3 times while driving in the first 5 minutes I'd get a electrical flicker. All lights would go out and then come back on. It lasted long enough for the clock to reset itself. But the car didn't stop running. Tonight it happened when I was backing out of a parking space. Car keep running but I lost all lights and clock reset again. Very strange. Its probably some relay or silonoid. Any ideas?????

thanx

Inspect your ignition switch and the wire harness to the ignition switch. Common for the harness to melt or the ignition switch to go bad it self and if you have lots of keys on your key chain, most likely going to be your ignition switch.

Good luck and keep us posted, sorry i am over relaxing in Australia for the next 3 weeks. ;)
