I have a 2007 Acadia and had the issue of the water coming in from the sunroof and moon roof. That was all fixed. When they fixed that, the mechanic stated they checked all through my dash and console and didn't find any signs of water damage. After that on and off my sound would go out in my SUV and then come back on in a bit. Well now, I have crackling sounds when I start the car through my speakers but no sound after that. I turn the radion on and no sound. When I turn on the turn signal, the blinker blinks but no sound. Any ideas on what this is going to take to get fixed?

I found the following from another post and I have the exact same issue. I am not pleased at all with GMC right now!

The radio cuts in and out no matter if its on AM, FM, or XM. We are in the same terrain as we have been before and have had no problems until now. The power to the radio never goes off, but it does pop, and fizzle in and out. This also affects our door chime, and when we open the rear hatch. I have also noticed that when the car is shut down completely we still hear an intermittant pop from the speakers. We really like our Acadia and would like to have our radio back!!!

Simcoxm,

I'm sorry you are frustrated. Was this issue originally addressed at your local GMC dealership? Have you had the Acadia diagnosed again since the sound went completely out?

It just happened to me yesterday. I have to wait until next week to get it in. I am busy with finals in school this week during the day. I was just hoping maybe someone already experienced this problem and could let me know what was the cause and how much I am looking at having to spend for this repair. I swear, this Acadia I bought sure has been a lemon! I had roof leaks, transmission issues, and so on since I bought it used. And sure enough, my warranty is gone is this happens.

Repair

The issues discovered is an amp went out which cost $775.00 to fix it. The amp is located on the side panel by the driver's door of the dashboard. :(

Has any one figured out the no sound from speaker deal?
Our 2011 has not sound out of the back and drivers side. Comes and goes.
Cleaned all the connections and used dielectric grease......I am talking about the rectangle ones by the doors. Still don't work.
