2005 Sierra 1500- my windows, locks, radio, 4wd, dome lights, guages all quit working and my warning lights all came on... not all happened at the same time. Tried replacing the BCM but when I took it in to have it flashed w/ a tech2 the 2 shops both said that there was no communication between my truck and the tech2..... completely lost now...

Check your fuse block. The fuse block may be corroded which is causing the issues your having.

Start with that and keep us posted:;)

could be a possibility... I bought it wrecked and fixed it but the fuse box was broke and left open... never went thru carwash but I imagine after an extended period of time it could happen... thanks and I will give it a look!

Opened up the fuse block and it looks like there might be a bit of corrosion... got some electrical contact cleaner and sprayed it all down good and waited for it to dry and hit it with air.... twice. No change. Any recommendations? The block itself just hold all the connectors in place right? So replacing the block is not going to be the fix? Still lost...

Just thought about this..... if I have an aftermarket CD player installed, is it possible that the tech 2 won't communicate with my truck because I don't have my stock stereo in? I bought a wiring kit that included a little box. It was cheaper by a lot at Walmart vs a car audio place. If I stick the stock stereo in do you think it will communicate and my BCM can bbe flashed?

Problem solved! It was the radio... these vehicles really rely on comunicationa and it all runs thru the radio...
