engine fans

anyone here have issues with uplander engine fans? i have an 05 uplander with about 123,000 km. it runs right at the middle on the temp gauge, when it idles it runs to the next mark after the middle then backs off to middle again. i cant hear the engine fans running. any ideas? also my rear wiper quit working.

Check coolant level then -
start the car , let it idle , look at fan , SEE if the fan comes on about the same time the temp gauge starts to drop.
