Engine Removal for 99 Jimmy SLE 4x4

I need to remove my engine from my 99 Jimmy and put in a new one because there was 2 gallons of antifreeze in the oil pan . I have a cherry picker and air tools but not a lift. i do have ramps and jacks and jackstands. Does anyone have a procedure on how to take this engine out? I've heard some parts are hell even with the lift (which again i most likely will not have access too). Anyone have good procedure and/or tricks?

Are you sure its not a bad intake gasket ?
The reason I ask is there are a number of posts about
this problem.

I was just head deep in a jimmy...all but the block...the steering shaft is easy enough to take out...one pinch bolt pry it back and pull it off(don't turn the steering wheel from there on out. you may need a dye to chase threads on exhaust manifold to pipe studs. if it hesitates when you put it all back together you need a scan to to set the timing a degree or two....it may be helpfull to take exhaust manifoild off prior to pulling motor for space sake. i hope its your intake
