I have install a 5.3 from a 07 envoy denali into my 06 envoy denali and it won't fire different reluctor wheel on the crank shaft. was wondering if anybody out there might know of a patch to download to get the computer to read the different crank sensor.

Your going to have to buy a convert box for the 58x crank trigger and 4x cam sensor which is $274 bucks. An electronic module to convert the 58x crank/4x cam sensor signal to the 24x crank/1x cam sensor signal is available. This module allows the installation of 58x crank reluctor wheel Gen IV V8 engines into Gen III equipped vehicles (and into 24x reluctor wheel Gen IV equipped vehicles).

similiar problem

I have a 2002 Envoy 4.2L, I put in a 2005 Envoy 4.2L Engine

It wont start either!!:mad::confused:

1. If I pull off the Crank Position Sensor it runs, but runs really rich...with a Crank Position Sensor Fault Code

2.If the Crank Position Sensor is plugged in, it won't start, and has no Fault Codes.

Timing Chain is right where it should be, injectors and fuel rails are all checked. Every single sensor is plugged in properly with all pins having correct contact.

Reluctor wheel according to the GM dealer is the same for 2002-2006,

Any help would be greatly apprecieated!

PM me or reply here
