Envoy 2002 - Radio speakers don't work anymore

After my battery went dead plus a couple of jump starts later the radio wouldn't work anymore. The screen looks normal (no locked message) but it is as if there is a mute button that is pushed.

I tried the headphone jacks in the back and they work fine.
There is just no volume at all in the speakers.

The CD works normally, the radio channels change normally, the volume gets indicated normally but there just isn't any sound through the speakers.

Help please.


Any ideas?

Anyone has the schematics in pdf format you could share with me?
This could help me understand the connectivity between the different components and possibly zoom down on the problem.

I have a similar problem but mine just stopped working while I was driving. I have a Bose factory system and I noticed the amp fuse keeps blowing when the car is started. i have no fix yet and hope someone here will be able to help

Sounds like an internal failure in the head unit... OUCH!
