A while back our lights started to flicker in our Envoy so we took it to the dealer, they told us it was being caused by the alternator. Well it's been a year and a half since it was in for the problem and now it's doing it again. When I called the dealer they told me that they won't cover it since it's been more than a year since "they" replaced it. It seems to only do it between 2500-3000 RPM's. Could this be an alternator issue again or something more serious? I will be taking the alternator in, to have it tested before just spending the money on a new one and hoping it's the problem. Are there any other known reasons that might cause it other than the alternator not working correctly? Any help is appreciated.
