My 2010 GMC Acadia has been leaking fluid on and off since August 2011. I have brought it into the dealer several times. I have even brought evidence of the leak - pictures of the fluid on my driveway and paper towel that I placed under my car to collect the fluid so they could see the color. I have heard a variety of reasons including some leaks are normal and maybe it was residue from the last oil change. I am not a mechanic but it is reddish fluid and it is more than a couple of annoying drips so I wouldn't think it is just residue from the last oil change. Also, this has been going on for 18 months now and it is happening again. What can I do to ensure that it really gets fixed correctly this time?

k605,
I would like to apologize for the issues that you are experiencing with your Acadia. I do understand your concerns with this. I would be happy to look into this further for you. Can you please send me a PM with your name, address, phone number, VIN, current mileage and the name of your dealer? I look forward to your response as well as assisting you with your concerns.
Thank you,
Stacy GMC Customer Service

Stacy, sorry for the delay. I thought I would give the dealer one more chance to fix the problem. I brought my car in yesterday and they replaced the "transmission cooler outpipe". Whew, the issue is finally resolved...NOT! This morning there is a puddle under my car and when I look at the underside of my engine it is wet and dripping. This is beyond ridiculous!

Yet Another Issue

After a number of issues including the very frustrating fluid lead, the latest issue is the power windows. The driver side window sporadically stops working. It's really great when it starts raining and the window will not go up. I am counting the days until I can get rid of my GM ACADIA. The problems, poor service and lack of concern from GM are so frustrating that I will never buy GM again. This is very disappointing as I have a strong family history of GM support going back several generations and I have a GM discount through my employer. I can understand that once in a while there is a "lemon" but the service person said there are known issues with the Acadias and the overall lack of interest and customer service are unacceptable. Every day I drive this vehicle I have to worry about what is going to go wrong with it until I get rid of it. What a shame.
