2001 Sonoma
4.3L Vortech
5-speed manual with Hurst tall 8ball type shifter.
3.73:1 rear gear (it is the stronger 8.5" gear not the 7.625" one) I think only 4.3's with the manual had this.
Hypertech programmer 3. (info says it should add about 15-20 hp) I think it should be around 215hp then. It will also let you adjust for tire size, gear ratios, rev limits, top speed limits, mpg improvement. Can read and clear DTC codes too. Can revert back to stock also.
Optima red top battery.
Lowered 4" front and back using Bell Tech springs and shocks, no blocks.
Ride quality is great, not rough. Looks good and is not too low. Still clears speed bumps and parking garage ramps without rubbing them.
Red powder coated steel OE wheels, with chrome lugs.
235/65R15 Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires with lots of tread.
Pioneer CD/MP3 player, Sat ready. Usb port. Detachable face.
Phillips sound labs A250 2-3 channel amp.
Polk Audio 8" sub behind the seat.
Red bench seat retro fit for a custom look.
AC delete from the factory.
Street Scene Sport mirrors.
Runs great, Drives great.
130,000 miles
New coil, ignition module, cap and rotor.
Small power steering leak, 1/4 quart in the last 3 weeks. No noise, works normal. I have considered it in the price.
I always change the oil myself.
It is clean. Good truck.
I have gotten as high as 22 mpg, most the time it is 20 hwy. (the 2.2 auto only gets 23-25 anyway and they have no power.)
I don't race it or beat on it. It is my daily driver so I take care of it. It is fast for what it is and has power. It would make a good start for more power add ons, esp with the rear axle it has.
I need more room and have my eye on a different vehicle so I am selling. Priced to sell quickly, as I can't buy the other car if I don't sell this truck.
Black truck, tan interior, red seat, black carpet. Looks good, runs good.
I have a craigslist add in tampa fl, search 2001 sonoma customized...it has pics. Here is the link if you want. http://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/cto/2372809836.html
$3000.
I am in FL now, but will be driving it up to MI for a few months. If you are in either state let me know.
