seems the front defrost isn't heating up on my used 2000 sierra z71. Takes far too long for ice from freezing fog to melt. I just added a gallon of good windshield wiper fluid so that took it right off.

what is the problem? had my dial instruments set correctly. thanks

Flush out your old coolant, using coolant flush http://www.prestone.com/products/print/424?popup=1

Once the cooling system has been cleaned out, replace the Thermostat and refill with the recommended coolant needed for your Sierra. http://www.prestone.com/products/print/411?popup=1

This should bring back heat in to your Sierra and trouble free coolant service for up to 5 years. ;)

Keep us posted.

Molson,

Is this a way to avoid doing a traditional coolant flush?
