front sway bar broken

Hello,Im new here and have many questions. I own a 2004 sl envoy with a 4.2liter, 4wd,basicaly a base model for that year . It has 82,800 miles on it now and runs great.Im asking if anyone has had a broken front sway bar and ever
replaced it them selves.Im a mechanic by trade but only work on heavey equipnent so i need some help if anyone would be able to
