99 gmc sonoma 4.3 V-6. I have relaced the fuel pump twice and fuel filter. I turn the switch on and the pump won't come on. Relay is also good. You can pour gas in the intake plenium and it will start untill you stop pouring the gas. Is it true that the oil pressure switch could cause this.I'm stuck. Some help would be great.

Check the fuse to the ECM, the ECM commands the fuel pump operation. The other thing to, it's common for the wire harness from the frame to the fuel pump on the gas tank to go bad when manipulated. There around $15.00 and should have been replaced when the fuel pump was replaced. Get to the wire harness connection to the fuel pump on the frame and check for 12V when the ignition key is turned to the run position. Faulty oil pressure switch will still start the engine, but will shut it off after 15 seconds of running with oil pressure less then 8psi. Keep me posted and good luck.

Well, I'm feeling kinda stupid. I wouldn't have thought that the ground for the pump would be so far away from the pump. Grounded it and it started. Thanks.
