Recently purchased a 2011 Sierra, 4wd, 5.3L, extended cab with the Z71 package. I am very happy with my purchase. I will mainly be using it to tow our 28 Shadow Cruiser Travel Trailer and the odd trip to Lowes or Home Depot. I am based in Maryland and in the summer months we like to head north to places like Maine and Canada. The truck I purchased is equipped with a 26 Gallon tank, but I was wonder if I could upgrade it to the 34 Gallon like the one on the 2500? Anyone ever done this or anyone have any suggestions for hauling extra fuel (safely) such as aux tanks.
