I have a 1999 GMC Suburban 2500 series with the 5.7L engine. I noticed that when I make a turn at a stop light or a red light I hear a strange noise that sounds almost like a little beep ! Hard to explain. I know it's not the horn.
Drives fine on the road as it steers. This only occurs from a stop going either left or right. I know the previous owner said he had the steering linkage replaced, did it himself. Not sure if he didn't do an adequate job or what.
Anyone here had that problem of their GMC making an odd / short noise on a turn from a stop ?

I know that noise!

I had a noise like that shortly before I decided it was time to change one of the front hubs. I went ahead and changed the half shafts at the same time since it had to be taken apart anyway.

I plow with my K2500 so I am very proactive with maintenance.
