my steering is acting funny this does not happen all the time but when your driving(any speed) it feels like there is a knot on the tire and it makes my steering wheel move(like if you had a knot on your tire and going slow then when you get to the knot it makes your steering wheel dart off to one side) but like I said its not constant. I put on new inner and outter tie rods and idler arm and it still does it( I only replaced the drivers side tie rods and it seems thats the direction my steering wheel shoots off too) I know I have to get an alignment now since my steering wheel is a little off and if I let go of the steering wheel it goes to the passengers side but not alot. I tried different tires tires but it was still there. Could I have air in my power steering pump or gearbox doing this? Anyone ever had this trouble? I had a tire shop look at my tires for slipped belts and stuff but they couldnt find any. It all started by wandering on the road and then a vibration on the drivers side and I cant figure it out

It could be a worn Pitman arm or the drag link is not aligned right when you replaced the idler arm. Aligned as to i mean leveled with the frame of the jimmy so it doesn't have a pitch to one side or the other. This can be check if you raise the passenger side wheel off the ground and move the wheel left to right with your hand and see if there is up and down movement on the drag link. If there is, the idler arm is worn or not position right and will need to be reposition so the drag link is leveled and has no vertical movements, just lateral. Good luck and keep me posted. :D
