I had a flashing check engine light about a mile from home last night with no real issues felt. I took it easy and got my 2106 5.3 All Terrain home. I put a scanner on it, and it read P0308 misfire. I changed out the coil-packs today and now it reads a P0300 misfire. Since I believe it is electronic and not mechanical, I will swap out the wires and plugs tomorrow. I did swap everything about a year ago with all new aftermarket items. This time I am going all AC- Delco.
Has anyone ever had to chase down a generic misfire code? Like I said, it originally showed cylinder 8, and after new coils, it reads just misfire. I think that rules out the gaskets and injectors, but I could be wrong.
