New member here. A little about myself:
Names Daniel. Married with 2 kids. Commercial HVAC tech for a day job. My main hobby/extra income is building jeeps. Just purchased a tired old truck. 1994 GMC k3500 CCSB. 5.7L 5speed. Got it cheap but needed tons of work. Stated out by rebuilding a TCASE(bearsings, seals, and a chain).
Put new tires, 285/75/16s - kenda klevers. Truck has 4.10s and the G80.

Well alot of work done over the past two weekends. Fixed an ignition issue. Truck wouldn't shut off by key. Ignition selector rod teeth where wore down and would jump. Tacked a piece of metal to the back and replaced the lock cylinder. Rewired the radio. PO had a nice hack job going. Removed what felt like 10 miles of unused wire. Cleaned up the truck a little. Cleaned the front skid and painted it. RE wired the rear tailight as the worked intermittent at best. New plugs and wires. cleaned and changed the spring in the TBI unit, new seals as well. Added a cheap TB spacer. Removed the factory air cleaner assembly and added one of those little bent bolt deals and a 14" filter. Not the best design but works for now. Also changed oil and filter; flushed power steering and brake fluids. uploadfromtaptalk1424663263660.webpuploadfromtaptalk1424663283473.webp

Thanks. It's a work in progress. Gonna start stripping some parts off this weekend. At least get the flares off. Went and got some black tractor enamel today to paint the frame with. That stuff is strong and durable...not to mention cheap

So a little work this weekend. Replaced the front sway bar end links. One was broke and the other all the bushings where gone. Also temporarily addressed the bad roof rust. Hit it with a wire wheel and a little sand paper. spot sprayed it with rust inhibitor and then primed the whole roof. Looks alot better for now. I'll fix it properly once I paint it uploadfromtaptalk1425234631184.webpuploadfromtaptalk1425234646208.webpuploadfromtaptalk1425234664287.webpuploadfromtaptalk1425234704781.webpuploadfromtaptalk1425234725383.webp

Good work you're doing, glad to see your truck coming along.
