So i was charging a phone using a car charger and i left the key in the ignition with the phone still charging and i had thought that i turned the car off but i guess i hadn't. So the car had the key and charger in it for i would guess 3 to 4 hours. Then when we got ready to go out the car would not start and the key wouldn't come out. And when we tried to start it it wouldn't even start. The gear, driving wheel and brake wouldn't move it was all jammed, The lights won't turn on or anything. So if you know the answer please answer

it sounds like your battery might be dead you should try to jump it off and also if ytou did leave it running check to see if you have any gas left in the tank if you do then it is most likely the battery is dead. and if the battery is dead and you had left it running the alternator might be bad.

Your battery is dead, and needs to be recharged. If your lucky, the battery may still keep a charge once you have gotten it charged. The Car needs 10 to 12 volts to have your gear selector work and the keys to come out from the ignition, don't force the ignition keys out. This can cause damage to the ignition switch, which is a part of your Passlock system to be able to start the engine.

With your ignition keys to the accessory turned on, most likely your daytime running light was on and the radio which drained your battery dead. Try having the battery jumped first, let the battery charge for 15 min with a booster cable before your try to start it and make sure your radio is turned off. Your radio may prompt you to enter a radio code to have it active again. Good luck and please keep us posted.
