Just picked up new Canyon on 9/20/17. Got rid of 2016 tacoma limited ( POS ).
Looking forward to doing some mods to Denali.

Welcome aboard! And thank you for signing up. Do you have any pictures of your Canyon? I think that "(POS)" indicated you like the Canyon much better. Would you care to give us a comparison?

Comparison, Yes the Canyon is head & shoulders above the Gen 3 Tacoma. The BEST thing about the GMC is the engine & tranny.....THEY WORK. Plenty of pickup, and the tranny does not hesitate at all. No hunting for gears etc. The Canyon is much quieter, better ride with the 20'' wheels ( wish it had a set of Michelins on instead of Bridgestones ) . The interior appointments are superb, nice leather, comfortable seats ( HEATED & VENTILATED VERY NICE !! ) nice dash, and good sound system. ( Tacoma had the JBL which was VERY good.

Now mind you the Tacoma had/has some EXCELLENT things going for it. KEYLESS ENTRY, PUSH BUTTON START, BACK UP SENSORS, BSM WHICH IS JUST AS GOOD AS MY WIFES NEW AUDI Q5. But after owning a 2014 Tacoma and going to a 2016 Limited......THAT WAS A HUGE MISTAKE !! The 3.5 motor in the Tacoma is truly a POS !! It UNSAFE & DANGEROUS TO DRIVE ON THE INTERSTATE. NO GUTS AT ALL. It does not even have 4 wheel disc brakes ! The vehicle is no longer recommended by Consumer Reports. I spent so much time at Toyota in Brandon, FL I was on a first name basis. Hood was replaced for vibrating, passenger door seal was replaced, transmission reflashed TWICE, differential leaking( mine was ok ), crankshaft position sensor( my was good ) and numerous squeaks & rattles. So after 8500 miles its gone. Oh, did I mention it was assembled in Mexico !!!!! My 2014 was assembled in Texas. Just saying !

Over all I am quite pleased with my Canyon Denali, NOW, WHAT DON'T I LIKE ABOUT IT........THE BIGGEST THING IS THE LACK OF A HOMELINK GARAGE DOOR OPENING FEATURE. COME ON, GM IT IS 2017. STILL HAVE TO USE A OLD VISOR MOUNTED GARAGE DOOR OPENER !!!!!!! The lack of this feature was not a deal breaker. Yes, I would like to have seen front & rear parking sensors, a Blind Spot backing & lane warning system, keyless entry, push button start. Had all of this on my 2007 Vette.

So yes, the Denali version is a BIG step up from the Tacoma Limited. I DO NOT MISS THE GENERATION 3 TACOMA !!!!!!!!!!
