We just obtained a used 2000 GMC Safari SLT (4.3L V6).
When we go to start the car it does crank but it just wont start. The weather condition makes no difference. There is no service light that i can see. I do see a check engine light vut when i connected a $300 OBD2 scantool it reported not DTC codes.
I really would like to understand and troubleshoot this starting issue. Can someone please provide me the list of steps on how to troubleshoot this issue FROM simplest to most advanced procedure; obviously i would like to replace a fuse or spark plug FIRST before having to deal with replacing a rusted on fuel pump.
Some have said to test the fuel pressure. How exactly do i accomplish this?
Thanks
