Hi, I have owned my 1999 GMC Savana conversion van for over five years. It already has over 150,000 miles put on it and it runs like a charm, until recently. I have had my check gauges light come on and couldnt figure it out till i noticed my oil pressure gauge. While waiting for the light to turn from red to green, the oil pressure reads 20 psi, which i know is normal, but the problem is when acceleraitng from the red light, the oil pressure gauge raises to 40 psi like normal and then as the automatic transmission changes from first to second gear, the pressure drops to zero and the check gauges light comes on. If anyone can help me diagnose what this is i'd really appreciate it. thanks
PS: After it changes from first to second gear, the pressure goes back to normal. This problem only occurs during the change from first to second gear, no other times has it happened.
