GMC sierra powder coat or Black paint?

Hello all,

I'm tired of all the chrome on my truck and want it black. Is there any way to succesfully do this without powder coating it? Is there a way to paint these areas like my grill and others parts without damaging the car?

I'm with ya on the chrome. Ive painted my wheels and grill so far and the trim down the side is next. The grill is easy. I recommend taking it off, it only takes about 10 min. Use 400-600 grit sand paper on the grill. Then use a "Self-Etching primer". Then shoot your color. Keep in mind the grill is on the front of the truck so it takes a beating from road debris and rain/snow, so eventually its gonna chip and scratch.
