Hi everyone, just found the forum and I have (part of, still gathering the rest of the truck) a 1988 GMC Sierra K1500 Indy 500 support truck replica. It will not remain 4WD but rather be AWD when I am done. Basically a Syclone on steroids.

People that know me know how much of a nut I am about adding factory options and features to my cars and trucks that were either not installed or never even offered. The Indy will be no different as it will have things like tilt and telescopic steering, overhead console with HomeLink and compass/outside temp, factory keyless entry with factory alarm, factory CD player (whilst retaining the factory 1988 square dash, the slave CD came from another GM car and looks right at home without making any major mods), auto-dim and heated sideview mirrors from an Escalade, auto-dim rearview mirror with inside temp, automatic headlights and much, much more.

My current daily driver is a 1991 Chevy S10 Blazer with tilt/telscopic steering, factory CD player that actually works, express down windows on all four doors, automatic door locks that lock at 9MPH, HomeLink, power leather seats and more. I also have a 1995 Olds Silhouette that has a couple of mods.

Hopefully soon I can start on a build thread here plus maybe a few writeups on how to install options and features. Below is some pics of the 1988 GMC Indy 500 support truck and basically what mine will look like when done. I was at the 1988 Indy 500 and fell in love with the pace cars and support trucks, and since the pace cars Oldsmobiles are super rare, I decided to build a truck.
