I admittedly made the mistake at buying my 2008 Sierra Slt at auction recently. Once getting it home, I noticed the check engine light on, the wipers not moving, power door locks not working, not to mention a brake issue. Apon taking it in to a local garage, I was informed that the truck "needs bank 2 sensor 2 oxygen sensor, multi function switch... has airbag codes, a/c clutch codes...seems vehicle may have been in an accident."

I can't help but think my garage is trying to screw me though... I keep thinking that there is simply one or two electronics that are potentially causing these errors. Can anyone tell me what this all means and the best plan of attack into getting it back up to 100%?

well here is the real question! How long have you been going to this shop? Do you know them and have they thken good care of you in the past?

Not all shops are out to" screw you" Botom line if your not comfortable with the shop them simply go get a second opinion some where else.;)

I was already leaning towards doing that. I was looking for someone who has encountered something like this before. I realize that not everyone is out to treat me unfairly, however since I am new to this city and looking for a reliable mechanic, this one just struck me as out of ordinary. Thank you for your post happy 2011.

I would agree, get a 2nd opinion. If a vehicle has been in a accident and not repaired correctly it can become a money pit trying to resolve these problems.
