About 4 months ago I bought a 2000 RWD 4.3L Sonoma from a local dealer, and of course it had some rust/paint issues but nothing beyond repair. It drives fine, 140k miles, transmission is great, engine runs great. It just rattles at around 30-45 mph; mainly it shakes a little due to [what I believe is] something being off balance, such as the tires or bad ball joints [which did need replaced]. When it reaches said speed, it shakes usually causing something within the dashboard to rattle and make noise, but at times the bed vibrates/shakes as well, only its at a very resonant speed which causes most of the cab to resonate as well. When the bed shakes it seems as if there is a very off balance tire in the rear but all the tires are fine. So fast forward to now, I've replaced all four ball joints, balanced the tires, checked all the bearings, and it still rattles
. Help please. BTW - It is a vortec, it has a dual exhaust with no converter, it has a cold air intake, ext. cab, I believe it came from the factory lowered [maybe similar to an "Xtreme"?], it was wrecked but it was fixed to a good extent and I've looked at/had it looked at to make sure it wasn't just "quick fixed", and I do plan to get new tires before the year is over [winters aren't the easiest time of year on the KY back roads]. I can attach pictures if needed, and feel free to ask or correct me on anything I missed...
