Help please 1988 gmc high sierra

My oil all leaked out I found out where after it was all gone and the the lifters were rattling out of the so called oil/fuel safety switch it threads into the side of the motor correct me if this is the inproper name for it just above the oil filter it has two male connectors I replaced this and now my fuel pump doesn't do anything does anyone know if there is a reset switch I need to push somewhere or any idea what may of happened here. Thank You Mike also there is another larger one I believe this is the oil sending unit my motor is a 2.8 liter 2 wheel drive automatic
