Help, possible emergency

I'm in the middle of doing a heater core replacement on my 2001 Jimmy, new ones in now reassembly. I quit for the night and was locking her up, manually because the power doorlocks and remote fob aren't working because of all the unplugged dash wires. Without realizing the consequences I locked the drivers door before the backseat door, thereby setting of the alarm!! The red button on the fob wouldn't shut it down so I put the key in and turned on the ignition, nothing. I popped the hood and pulled if the horn wire, a secondary quieter horn continued for a minute or so and stopped. Now I can't get the key to come out. Have I triggered one of the antitheft systems?? I once triggered the Passlock on my old Grand Am and I don't want a reoccurrence of that mess. Any clues? The dash is on the front seats and all associated wires are unplugged ( light switches, 4x4, heavy wires behind light switch, main plug on passenger kick, one wire from the...ECUmaybe???? attached to the front og the heater box, etc

Any and all ideas are welcome, those based on experience and fact most appreciated.
