sorry I don't really know how to do this but I need to ask a question. I have a 2008 GMC Acadia that I found out had HID bulbs. I watch YouTube videos on how to put on in but none of them showed me how to put them in. do they go straight in and how are they held in. Do you have to put them at an angle then turn, I don't know. I can't see I have to feel. Please if someone knows how to do this, I need to put a bulb in.

Hello. That's a great question, and it's a common one when dealing with HID bulbs. They are a bit different from a standard halogen bulb, and it can be tricky to get them in, especially if you can't see what you're doing. You're right that the HID bulbs do not just go straight in. They have a specific way that they need to be installed.

The bulb itself has a small metal key or a set of tabs that fit into a groove in the headlight housing. You need to line up the tabs with the grooves and then slide the bulb in. Once the bulb is in, you will then need to turn it a quarter turn to lock it into place. You will feel it "click" into place when it's in correctly.

You will also need to connect the wiring harness to the back of the bulb. The HID bulbs have a specific connector that you need to plug into. You need to make sure that the connector is plugged in all the way and that it is secure.

Since you can't see what you're doing, you will need to rely on your sense of touch. It's a good idea to practice with the old bulb so you can get a feel for how it works. You can also try to use a small mirror and a flashlight to see what you're doing.

It's very important to not touch the glass part of the HID bulb with your bare hands. The oils from your skin can cause the bulb to fail prematurely. You should use a pair of gloves or a clean cloth to handle the bulb.
