I hve a 98 Jimmy. About 4 years ago the A/C went out completely, not a problem. About 2 years ago I started to get hot air through the vents at all times. Does not matter what the fan is set on or the temp setting. While moving, hot air blows into the passenger compartment. what could be broke and be fixed?

your air box has a diaphragm that moves a gate to draw air from hot or cold side of the box. Could be a bad vacuum line or actuator depending on if it's electric or vacuum controlled. Or it could be a bad AC control panel on your dash.
