How do I get my 2008 Sierra drivers door open?

I cannot open my drivers door from the inside or the outside. I have to get in from the passenger side which is getting old fast! Was told the door lock mechanism has broke.
Too old to "Nascar" out the window.

This is a 2008 Sierra SLE Crew Cab
Need advice please!!

Just a guess but maybe the cable has broken or has come disconnected, if that's the case you'll need to remove the door panel to repair the problem. My guess is you'll need to remove the seat to get to the panel.....again, just a guess. Good luck.
