How do I get my power windows and locks working in a 85' GMC Jimmy?

My vehicle has had a past with car jackers, but they never got in. All they did was mess up[ my wiring and everything, so now my windows don't work. How do I fix?

My vehicle has had a past with car jackers, but they never got in. All they did was mess up[ my wiring and everything, so now my windows don't work. How do I fix?

Start with checking the fuse under the dash on the drivers side and then move on to checking the switch and wire harness at the switch. At worst the wire harness may have gotten damaged and needs to be replaced and at best the fuse has gone bad if the wires shorted out and not as bad the wire hanress may have un-clipped from the power window switch.
