How do you set a clock on a GMC 1996 jimmy?

I've answered this Q a couple of times.

If it has a stock car radio.....(regular factory installed one)
Turn the radio off.
Turn the ignition on or to acc. w/key
Push (don't hold down) the "set" button
Set the hours & minutes with the seek & scan buttons.
If you go past, you'll have to wait and go back around cause it only counts forward.

i am confused and cant do it

SETTING THE CLOCK: Press "SET". WITHIN FIVE SECONDS, press and hold "SEEK" until the correct minute appears on the display. Press and hold "SCAN" until the correct hour appears on the display.

SETTING THE CLOCK FOR AM-FM STEREO WITH COMPACT DISC PLAYER AND AUTOMATIC TONE CONTROL: Press and hold "HR" until the correct hour appears on the display. Press and hold "MIN" until the correct minute appears on the display. To display the clock with the ignition off, press "RECALL" and the time will be displayed for a few seconds. There is an initial two-second delay before the clock goes into the time-set mode.

You might want to print this or write it down... I have to look it up every time... I guess it's just too easy to actually remember.

Good Luck!

Setting the Clock

That is a lot easier than disconnecting the battery at the default time of day that the clock resets to. That is how I have been "setting" it since I bought my 92 GMC in 2004. Never can remember if it rests to 12 or 1. I will try this.
