How roomy is the GMC Acadia?

I love the looks of this vehicle in comparison to a mini van, but love the roominess a mini-van offers. Just looking to see how owners of the Acadia would rate it as far as room to get around in. I've got a 7 year old, a 4 year old and a 2 month old... so I need all the room I can get. Thanks!

I went from a Chev Astro minivan, and there is a sacrifice in interior room. But with kids the ages yours are, you should make the transition easily. As long as the 7 year old is cool with the rear seat, or maybe even 'shotgun, if you are comfortable with him/her on the front seat with the airbag. I'm not certain? is the airbag sensitive to the weight of the front-seat passenger?
