How To: '08 sierra sle head lamp replacement

I have seen past threads stating the huge demand on time to replace a low beam lamp. I read with these with some interest, now it's my turn and the search only is showing questions with no reply's. Any Help out there? ?
 
Its easy, open hood, reach in and disconnect plug, twist and remove the bulb. You will find instructions in your owners manual. Passenger side will require removing air filter assembly to gain access to the back of the lamp.
 
I didnt think it was that simple. Had read that fender well, and other body trim had to be removed in a certain order to access the lamp. Thanks
 
I did not have any trouble changing them on my 2008 GMC.

Z15, thanks for replacement breakdown, I was too quick to believe the diffuculty involved. I guess a manual would help. Even asked the local parts store and they had no idea other than a great pain.
 
Tip - DO NOT TOUCH THE Glass on the bulb. Oils from you skin can cause the lamp to overheat and fail.
