How to adjust steering gearbox? (91 GMC sierra)?

The steering in my 91 GMC truck is loose. I replaced the idler arm which helped none at all. It feels to me like it may be more in the gear box. Is there a way to diagnose and or adjust slop in the steering gearbox? Thanks BF

On top, there is a locknut and set
screw. Loosen the locknut while holding the setscrew.
Now tighten the setscrew 1/8 turn at a time and check the slop.
