I own a 2006 GMC Sierra Denali truck and broke the glass mirror and just the mirror not the plastic housing. I ordered a new one and have it in hand. It appears to me that it just snaps into the plastic housing. How do I get the broken one out? Is there some tool to use or do you just pull on it or use a flat head screwdriver? If anyone can give me some insight that would be great, or if you know of a video online I can see that would be awesome to.

I had the same issues with my Jimmy a few years back i just used a large flat head screw driver and as you mentioned. Yes it just snaps in place.
I broke the mirror on my 2004 GMC. I just pushed in on one corner and got a something behind it and pulled, came right off. Careful using metal screwdriver, might just break the glass instead of popping it off.
