I have a 2001 GMC Jimmy that im wanting to put a lift kit on and some bigger tires. Its a 2 door, 4x4, SLS series. Does anyone know how to make it less likely to roll over once it is lifted.

A good set of shocks and upgraded sway bars. Tire combination will also effect the stability of the Jimmy. Too tall and skinny tires will tend to have more side wall bend, so a good wide stance tire will help. If your Jimmy is not a ZR2, you can replace the rear axle with one from the pickup just like the ZR2's to give it the wider stance in the rear.
The Wheel Backspacing (6") and size of the wheel wells. Generally tire size could only be upgraded 1-2" (diameter) without having to make modifications by way of cutting. Many Jimmy owner did find that certain Suspension/Body lift combination's made way for more room thus requiring less cutting, however this still didn't allow for a tire larger than 33x10.50" (this is the subject of much debate within the ZR2 community).
When it comes to wheels many are available with the correct bolt pattern, however the majority do not have the correct backspacing. This leaves very few tire/wheel options.
