I have a 1993 gmc sierra that is having some power steering pump problems so i am going to replace it. I looked at autozone and they offer two different types which are:
Hydroboost

There is no "vacuum operating power steering pump". There is however a brake booster system powered from your power steering pump and it is called Hydro Boost. If your truck is equipped with hydro boost, you will see a series of p/s hoses connected to the hydro boost unit behind your master cylinder. If you have a traditional vacuum booster, you will be able to see a large round booster mounted behind the master cylinder with a vacuum line connected to it from the intake. :D

Good luck and keep us posted.
