installed a bm shift kit now i ..? I have a 1989 Gmc Sierra with a TBI engine and a 700R4 tranny. Recently I installed a BM shift kit and now when I put it into Overdrive it barely moves if at all and does not shift. The tranny shifts perfect in Drive except for I have no overdrive also manually shifts good except 4th. I have reset the T.V. cable to no avail. There was no copper flashed ball in the tranny and I was told it doesnt need it, I am starting to think it does and that when I was taking down the valvebody I misplaced it.
