i keep running out of gas

my gas gage dont work but i still know how many miles i should get out of what i put in and im only getting about half of what i should get i just moved from florida to ohio so i dont know if the cold weather is doing this i just changed plugs,wires,cap&rotor,fuel filter,air filter, i dont know what to do this thing has got me so frustrated i just need it to get me thru the winter till i can afford a new gmc any help would be greatly apreciated

Do your gas cap have a lock on it ?

Put your vehicle in park and run it. Is it leaking gas??


If not see how many kms you get to a tank. My Jimmy sucks back the fuel pretty good.

Have you been driving with the 4 wheel drive engaged????? That will lower your gas mileage...Also have you been doing more city driving than highway recently which also uses more fuel?? I also had a Blazer with a fuel leak along the chasis on the drivers side.It was subtle and didnt make the smell of gasoline in the air...Just losing fuel and could see small drops on the ground...
