Illumination wire.

As the title reads, question is about the illumination wire to the deck in the wiring diagram. Can anyone confirm this would be the wire that would be "telling" my deck when my running/corner and headlights are on? Why i ask is, I just baught a dvd deck with a rear back up camera input or whatnot. and it seems to go into that mode whenever my lights come on (either by manually turning them on or when the sensor kicks in at night/dark). figure if i snip it, it will shut that feature off and i could care less about any other "features" the deck has that may involve knowing when its night or not... or if anyone has had a similar problem with an easier solution

to answer my own question and for future reference for dvd deck installers. YES the illumination wire is there to tell your deck when your lights are on so it goes into auto "dark" mode. this CAN be removed without any problems on the freeway "dvd 3563" unit as there is a manual "dark" over ride.
