I just paid a little over $80 in struts for my 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 through apx auto parts. Here's a link. http://apxautoparts.com/2560-sensen-shocks-struts-full-set-4-pieces-new-lifetime-warranty.html Here's a link to the manufacturer. http://www.sensen-na.com/ They seem legit. What do you think? I only needed some front struts but it was more economical to buy the entire set (an additional $40).
I don't have any complaints yet. Outside of some routine maintenance, I'm not much of a diyer. I normally take the truck to the shop and be done with it. But this time I think I may just try it out. The folks at apx auto parts said they have videos on youtube to help people install the struts. The installation should be simple enough I think.

Front suspension struts are NOT easy to install.. Don't believe any video that says they are... Jack, multiple jack stands, air tools, strut compressor, big pry bars, big hammers, air tool sockets, wrenches and torque wrench are minimum to complete this task.

This is not a task for a novice diyer. But if you are equipped and decide to attempt this task, make sure you get a proper service procedure with directions and torque specs to retighten everything.

Because you bought the strut Kit (spring and strut assembly) you will not need a spring compressor. Air tools? sure if you want to do it all really easy but not necessary. Torque wrench, definatley. I watched videos from A1 auto on this and thats how i did it. If you end up doing it yourself, make sure you get an alignment . Mine was off a little. If you dont have a Haynes Manual for our truck, get one. Im also running an 07 Sierra 4wd. I did everything at once. Back shocks, brakes, drums, front rotors, brakes and struts. Feels like a different truck. I did it all in my garage. I dont have a huge tool assortment and bought what i didnt have at Sears.
