You are better off buying a vehicle with it, plain and simple truth. The existing radio has to go so whatever you paid for that options is wasted money. The $2200 is a best case scenario just for the unit, it could cost you a lot more when all said and done.
Believe me I contemplated it when pricing a 2012 but every dealer I talked to about it was hesitant to even estimate the cost or say if it could be done. Matter of fact one dealer parts guy said he could not find anything that said it could be added to a vehicle and he called several other dealers and could not find one who did something like that.
I have also heard horror stories of people trying to hack one into their vehicles and then have all kinds of other electronic problems down the road that will not be covered by warranty. Anything added to the vehicle after you purchase is not covered by the new vehicle warranty, even if its a GM accessory or parts and installed by a dealer.
