Is a 2000 GMC Jimmy 4dr 4WD with 129,000 for $6,000 a good buy?

sorry that is way over priced, 3 to 4 grand maybe in good condition but 6 is someone who does not want to sell they want to keep it look on www.nada.com this is a price guide, you can do better than that I am sure just have patience, and always take the vehicle to a mechanic before you buy, there are multiple questions weekly from people who find out AFTER THEY BUY that the vehicle has major problems, so keep looking, and take your time good luck

And is the car good?

Little high for the price, just inspect the intake area for signs if gasket leak issues. The other thing to also is to inspect the transmission dip stick and fluid, common for rust to form on the dip stick that indicates the transmission is not being service for it's scheduled intervals.

Other area's to be aware of is rust forming at the back tail gate by the roof, which would indicate what condition the jimmy is in and also inspect the fuel line on the drivers side by the passenger rear door just in-front of the rear wheels. There common to corrode there, where the nylon clips hold the lines to the frame.

Other then that, it's a great SUV. I have had mine since new from 1996 till now and still my daily driver and has over 365,000 miles on it with a few upgrades to the engine and transmission. ;)

Look around and you can find 2000 Jimmy's ranging from $4,000 to $6,000 begin on the high side.
