I recently replaced my battery along with my headlights. After doing so, my display that typically shows the outside temperature was blank, my vents were blowing warm air, and the off button did nothing. Is there some way that this needs to be reset similar to the clock after disconnecting the battery?? Any help on this would be appreciated.........ty.

I would disconnect the battery for a few minutes (10 - 30 min), then ensure all the wiring etc is good. Reconnect it and see if everything resets.

Also, was the 'new' battery fully charged when you installed it?

You have done the wrong wiring connections because it happened when you did wrong and now you have to disconnect the battery and attach all the wiring as before and check and update us...

That's not a correct analysis. When replacing a battery in an 04 there isn't much to do to install a new one. You really can't "mess the wiring up". Sometimes you have to disconnect the batteyr and let sit for a few minutes to reset. We had a similar problem with our '04 5.3L Envoy XUV. After the OEM battery puked a couple of years ago, I replaced the battery and got the same symptoms. I'd assumed the battery was fully charged from the auto parts store, but it wasn't. I disconnected it, tested and charged it, reconnected it and the problem cleared.
