I have a 2001 GMC Jimmy that is stuck in 4wd Lo. A mechanic friend installed a new encoder motor on it and it tries to go into the other drive selections, but it goes back into 4wd Lo. He told me he had to take the encoder apart to install it because the position of the input shaft wouldn't let him line up the bolt holes to install it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
