Just totaled my 99 GMC Sierra pickup, how much should it be to get back on the road?

I know you can't say by just me telling you about it, and I'm having it towed to a shop tomorrow for estimates, I'm just worried and trying to get a rough idea. The transmission is leaking, I know that much. Front end is pretty smashed along with the drivers side. Right now I'm not worried about it being cosmetically perfect, just drivable. Do you think it would cost more than the truck is worth? I'd never sell it, it was my dad's truck and I inherited it when he passed on. If it's going to be a lot of money, I'll just store it until I can save up enough. Thank you for any advice!

Store it and work on it slowly and pick up another vehicle in the mean time. Sound's like at this point, your better off finding another Sierra with issues and using it for parts to put your back together.
