Keyless Remote Entry Not working

The transmitter (or Keyless Remote Entry) of my 2009 GMC Acadia SLT2 to lock/unlock the doors suddenly stopped working. I replaced the button battery, but it didn't help.
The door lock/unlock functions do work if operated from the switches on the door panels.
I opened the doors by key (manual) and the car start panic. it stops after I started the engine.
Kindly advise where should I look first to fix this problem ?

I would start by trying to reprogram the key FOB, instructions can be found in the owners manual. If this does not work then you could purchase a new Key FOB and program it with the instructions in the manual. Last resort would be to have the dealer look at the vehicle side. Key FOBS can be purchased cheaper online, just google 2009 gmc acadia key fob.
