I'm noticing about a third of the threads on hear are about the POS electric shift transfer case. as the electric part can be removed and then the case shifted with a wrench, and so many of us having problems with the same thing I can't believe knowone has produced a kit with a manual lever in the vehicle hooked to a cable to the transfer case. they do have a manual cable to overide or replace the vacume acuater on the front dif (mine happens to work) so why not on the transfer case ? sometimes mine works sometimes it doesnt, but if i cant trust it to work when i need it and knowone already sells a kit to bypass it maybe I need to make one and sell it on here...I could retire if it gets the responce i think it will

If your lucky, you might find a 1995 at a Salvage Yard with the manual 4wd shift system on the floor. They were more common on the 2 door model, you'll have the center console, shift and linkages needed to retro fit your Jimmy with a manual 4wd shift leaver system. ;)

Here is a link for all the parts your going to need and was found from the years 1995-1997 Jimmy's and Blazers. http://www.compnine.com/index.php?u...delid=6872&capuid=1&majorgroup=04&grouptype=B

Thanks for letting me know what to look for. Still fooling with what I have for now but if I go the manual route its nice to know there is a vehicle out there with everything I need
